Single turbine engine, provides lots of power for walking and charging electrics, but is underpowered for flight. Runs on Ethanol, Petrol or Hydrogen, depending on what is available. Most use Petrol as Stealth Force have control of the middle east. |

Light- 16mm high tensile steel, 25mm plates protect joints and key areas. Window is bullet-proof Perspex |

Range: |
Fuel tanks take up all available space inside, but that still doesn’t leave much. About 30 miles if it mixes walking and flying. But its main use is for short "pathfinding" attacks on lightly defended enemy positions, so that’s enough. |

Other Information: |
The Laser locks onto to heat sources likely to be humans automatically. If it picks up IFF signals from targets that aren't Stealth Force it prioritises those. The pilot still needs to manually fire the laser himself though. The machine guns are fixed and are aimed by aiming the body, which can move into a surprising range of positions thanks to complex servos and multi-directional joints. Grenade Launchers can be aimed by arm controls (which the pilot switches over to, rendering body movement functions temporarily disabled) or are aimed straight ahead. When aimed ahead gyros in the arms keep them pointing in the same direction, giving them surprising accuracy. |

General Notes: |
These are based on walkers used by the Karvanu in the 2000AD strip Rouge Trooper, in a story that was published around 1997. I co-opted them for use in the original Prequel, where they where Wolf Force vehicles. In the second Book 4 (the one that wasn’t nicked) they became Stealth Force vehicles, and attack a Wolf Force base. Gunn steals one after shooting the pilot with armour-piercing bullets and destroys the other ones. In real life it would be horrendously impractical if it even worked at all, it almost certainly would not get off the ground, and if it walked into a battle a good blast from a rocket would unbalance it and knock it over. However as the re-make isn't quite set in "reality", they will also make it into that, though I'll make their flaws a lot more clear. Also I'll rain in the power of the laser, in the original book 4 it could destroy a tank, in the re-make it will be more like what a laser weapon that size will really be like in 2020, underpowered, unreliable and prone to over-heating. |
