The story of Scum Slaughter starts in 1999, in the forum of anarchyrules.com, because I was an anarchist then, of course. One thread was started about those "Brat Camp" places they have in America, where parents can send their kids if they are gay, listen to rock, watch horror movies or like outdated 'classic' cars, and have them beaten, starved and electrocuted into being decent, racist and Masonic members of society. Obviously this idea pissed me off a lot and I wanted to brutally murder all of the scum who run these places. Going forward to 2000, and I was making "Anarchy Doom", a misguided total conversion, one level of which had you murdering your way through one of these places to rescue Tina. A character with a leather jacket and purple hair who had been sent there by her parents after she wrote a love letter to another girl. She later evolved into Tina in Felney, of course XD.

After Anarchy doom got deleted, the idea vanished for a while, until Felney came along, I inserted a 'brat camp' in Aarons back-story, and featured him breaking out in a very violent way. At this time I was into The Games Factory, and later Multimedia Fusion, the idea was always to create an ultra-violent platform game along these lines, telling this part of the story. This game was actually started a few times, it was intended to have the two-dimensional equivalent of Soldier Of Fortune gore, a difficult feat to attempt!.

After a few false starts on this game (to be called "Kill Em All", after the line "And remember marine-KILL EM AAALLLLLL!" in the infamous UAC Labs wad file, by none other than Eric Harris) this idea was abandoned. But, resurrected again, and abandoned again. You get the idea. A very primitive test game, using the default (crappy) platforming engine in TGF was actually made, and a load of concept sketches and sprite templates also existed. One idea for the title screen looked like the box of the movie "Boys Don’t Cry", which is about a Transexual being killed by KKK-loving rednecks, just one example of the complex influences behind Scum Slaughter.

This game carried on in my mind, becoming a Top-down shooter or EDGE 1-level mini-TC (referred to by me as a "Scenario wad"). It even got a place in Felney Software's speculative section, which you can see here: Kill Em All!. A long while after this, in 2004, Scum Slaughter as it is now known began to appear, and it was all thanks to your friends and mine at Rockstar games!. They released the classic of brutality, Manhunt, which was actually generally ignored by most people to begin with, until one day when the papers became full of stories of how some drug addict had killed his friend for money. Now normally that would be that, but because one of them (never mind that it was the victim) was "Obsessed with" Manhunt, it had obviously inspired this sick act, and there where calls to ban it, it was about then that I bought it XD. The game itself wasn’t too impressive, the cool idea at the start began to wear thin after a few levels, and then it became a normal shooter anyway towards the end XD.

Still, the outrage caused by Manhunt, despite its fairly tame reality, got me thinking how I could use MMF to make a much more offensive game. Of course the 3D would be out, and the graphics would be more cartoony, so it needed to have offensive content… First up, the killer had to be an ethnic minority, to offend the racists, how about Asian? Next, she needed to be a 'sexual minority', so what about a Transsexual, the most hated people in the world!. Of course, she had to drive a Classic car, to offend the E.U.-lovers and green maniacs. Now for the enemies, Fox Hunters where a given, of course, and Freemasons, the people involved in an international organisation to eliminate prostitution and 'sexual immorality'. Last on the victim list where Vivisectionists, but they where later changed to generic "Mad Scientists" sponsored by the church to find a cure for homosexuality. The game was to have been a top-down RPG-style thing, with close-up "kill cam" shots showing the deaths, crudely animated in Paint, and always having the same level-based background wherever you where in the level. The planning for the game chugged along a bit. Until…

Manhunt- Your mother wouldn't like it

High Maintenance! This is a comic featuring a post-op Transsexual named Jess Mason, who goes around a grimy market town beating up and injuring racists and chavs who prey on transsexuals and cross-dressers, but she is being watched by a shadowy corporation™ intent on destroying her. Does this girl KNOW me? (well, the creator actually does now cause I annoy her in the forum XD). Anyway, after that the Scum Slaughter comic was born mere days later. Initially it was influenced by High Maintenance, crossed with the low-budget (but cool) slasher flick "Hunting Humans". These days, its main influences are the comic "The Simping Detective", a film noir-style strip following an alcoholic private eye in the Judge Dredd universe, and the movie/comic "Sin City", which has shooting, tits and classic cars, and is therefore the perfect film.

This one includes the gangs of chavs who surround and assault people who look different, or weaker, or older, or like they have money.

This wide ranging one includes supporters of the EU, who will destroy our cultural identity and rights to free speech, to people who sue people for all sorts of reasons. From parents suing their kid's school for "emotional anguish" because their kid lost a race on sports day or got a low grade or because their kid fell out of a tree they where climbing or something. To burglars who sue homeowners because the drainpipe collapsed while they where climbing up it (this has really happened!). This one also includes, of course, the BNP, who are neo-nazis who want to abolish democracy, and communist, socialist and green political parties, and religious terrorists, but not just Islamics.

This one also includes the EU, which wants to abolish classic cars, freedom of movement (through the use of congestion charges, pay-as-you-go car insurance, and ID cards) and freedom of speech (laws against 'incitement to religious, racial, or sexual orientation hatred', for example). Also the Daily Mail, which wants us to have security cameras in all our houses, like in 1984, to prevent paedophiles and burglars getting our children. Probably.

This was partially answered above. Mainly its to avoid accusations of Racism and Homophobia, and also to piss off racists and homophobes. Transsexuals are the most hated group in society, even 'open-minded' people consider them freaks and outsiders, including gays who believe they are 'reinforcing stereotypes', without considering that transsexuality is a completely different condition. She is Asian because they are sexy, well "Miss India" always seems to be winning "Miss World". When Islamic terrorists aren't blowing them up anyway.

Well this is effectively a Horror comic, and Horror comics, books and movies are often the ones that push the boundaries, eventually extending the boundaries and making society more tolerant. What would have been regarded as an immoral tale of sex and violence in the 20's is a kids bedtime story today. Now that I think about it, Guardian scum are actually trying to reverse that tradition, trying to ban traditional kids stories because they are "Too violent" or "Offend Muslims". String em up!
